JOanna’s Life

  Started my life in Sg on 24th July 2005. NTU life started on 25th July… The pace of Life in Sg is so much faster than in MY. Goodness, so much walking to do in School, within the campus compound. The first week in NTU was horrifying, did not know how to take shuttle bus, every lecture i can only use bus 11 (walking). So much sweat n tears (coz miss home ma…) But now Week 5 is approaching, I’m adapting so much better when i first started.

  As usual, still miss home. but pls…dun try to come bc to Sg on Sun nite. It’s horrible. The causeway jam, It took me almost 3 hours to get back to my hostel from Larkin (bus terminal in JB). Oh my God, It was so tiring n exhausting. but din regret of going home on the weekend. Really need to relax n unwind myself after a long long week. Home is always the BEST place to be. With mum n dad n gor gor around. Really miss those time at home… MIss MUM n DAD so so MUCH!

  But everytime think of going back it is a headache. My timetable is quite pack, quite cruel. Friday class until 6pm. If i rush back at night, the friday night causeway jam is unavoidable.So i can only go back on Sat morning. And Aih…. i must be back on Sunday because on Monday I have class from 9.30 am. Sunday?! I must be back earlier to avoid the evening causeway jam… Duh…. Hmm… But i really long to go back home.

  21st August 2005. I went for my second Roller Blading Class. My instructor was very strict and demanding i think. Maybe he thinks too highly of me…But those friends of mine will know that i’m one with poor sense of balancing, even cross longkang (drain) also can fell into it de… So I was pretty upset with myself because i think i did not meet his expectation. I was quite nervous throughout the whole session which lasted about 1 hour. Nervous n afraid of falling and losing my balance in exact. But i did fell down. So there’s a big patch of blueblack just below and on my left knee. My right leg also having blister now. but the spot is quite funny, at the side of the leg. It’s ok, It’s alright, It’s the process of learning, I think so… But truly speaking, my emotion is being a little affected. Especially after a rough weekend, so to speak.

  Setting up PC yesterday, was quite excited as first. Finally I have PC to use. Especially my UNi is so computer-orientated. but GUess Wat? My PC can only log in to NTU’s web page. The rest i can log in. Y? Because I’m using Window ME. The system no longer support by NTU server. So disappointed… Sad…. But what can i do? So now i think i need to format my PC to Window 2000 coz PC too old, i think it cannot handle Window XP. Need the software for Window 2000 and Microsoft Office. Still hunting high and low for it… Hope to get it ASAP!

  Went out with ah huat 2 times since i’m in Sg. Really grateful to him. Meeting him in Sg was like meeting a family member. Was feeling quite down at that time, I think is homesick. Not used to the life in Sg then. Although we are just walking around Sg aimlessly, i felt so much better. At that point of time, i felt so lonely, helpless and no one to turn to. At home, my mum is there for me as always. Not here in Sg. But I think that period is over now. At least i don’t feel so bad now. Then went out with Kai Jye n ah Huat n Kai Jye’s Bro+friends on National Day of Sg. Saw Beautiful Fireworks@Esplanade! Magnificent! Had a wonderful day…and something not to miss out, ah huat is really a nice and patient guy. Very thoughtful too… Haha, I bought bread from BreadTalk on National Day because it was on sales.$1 each. I was like craving for bread (Bread in Sg is very Expensive!) n i saw the ad while passing by BreadTalk then i told ah huat. I think my expression must had told him that i wanted to eat the bread so much so both of us actually U-turn back to BreadTalk (act we passed by the shop already) to buy bread. I must admit, The Bread Was Fantastic! Although i bought a lot (around 6 of them), but i only get to eat 1. I was like Santa Claus giving away bread, Hohoho…. Thank you! Thank you for willing to spend time with me when i needed someone to accompany most! ^o^

  That’s all for now…Will try to update my blog regularly depending my schedule. Miss all my friends, esp earn yee+ah jim+the rest of you… Miss mum,dad n gor….  Hope to catch up with you guys soon. Adios!
