Yoyo! This is an outdated thing but still is worth to remember so i decided to post it up, yeah!

Dec 5-11 is an unforgettable time in my life ( actually i scare i’ll forget about it so i decided to write it down here) hehe… It Was…. (Drum beating)… Impact Conference IKUTM. Yup! A mission trip organised by young adults…or should i say more specifically Uni Student from UTM, Malaysia.

From 27th Nov right up to 11th Dec They moved from JB, Alor Setar which is a couple of hundreds kilometer away then to Pinang Island. Then travelling southward to Kluang then up to Malacca. 15 DAYS!!! They aimed to change the lives of the teenagers and young adults and to instill Godly character in them, and you know what? I think they DID it!!! How awesome! The way they structured themselves….Well-organised…Team effort….Good leadership…Looking at their passion for God, It created a stir in my heart that I would want to be like them! I want to love God more each day. I wanna thank Shawn Gan cos he was the one who allowed me to join although i’m not a UTM student… hehe… I "Gei Bo" cannot ar? hehe…. no lar…not gei bo…is that I felt a small still voice in my heart asking me to join them despite of my tight schedule…I’m a busy person you know???!!! =p So I asked…

Actually it took me a lot of courage to ask you know? Why? because… I scare I won’t get a place to stay in the hostel of NTU for the next academic year! For those who does not know, I’m currently pursueing my tertiary education in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. and due to the lomited vacancies of hostels, they allocate rooms to students by evaluating their participation in ECA ( Co-Q in Malaysia). Students need to participate a numbers of activities in school, hall, clubs etc to earn marks. But they have this system of slashing marks. What is that? It means that if you participate the Ko-Q activities under the same category, the marks you earned will be slash away. Something like you join 2 clubs as sub-commers, each club awards you with 20 marks, so supposingly you should have earned 40 marks. But NONO!!! You only get 32 mark cos the points awarded by the 2nd club will be slashed by 40 percent! 3rd club will be slash by 75 percent and the fourth club will not be awarded any points. This is actually a way they implemented to ensure students join a variety of activities (Good and bad in a sense).OMG… and then the cut-off points for my hall last year was 85 points and above for double-room and that is for those under recommendation list!!! in order to get into recommendation list, you must be very active in hall. So my initial plan for Dec hols is to take part in IH ( Inter-hall games) which allow me to get up to 30 marks, hehe… So i decided to join softball because i find the game interesting after the softball clinic. And the first match was on 17th of Dec. I joined the team last minute and i already miss 1 or 2 training. Then I joined them for a training on 29th Nov(Tues) and the subsequent training was on Sat 3rd Dec but then I was in Nav’s Camp then. So I missed the training. Then If i were to join IMPACT, i’ll miss out another week of training. In my heart I was thinking : "Oh No, Will my captain kick me out of the team because I’m newbie and I keep on missing the training (cos i join in last minute, they had already formed a team, I like lebih like that…), Should I go for Impact or not…It wasn’t in planning…Should I not go?" But i can’t find peace. I can actually felt in my heart i really really long to go for IMPACT. So at the end of the training on 29th Nov, the FIRST official training i had with the whole softball team, I braced myeslf, using all the Faith and courage i have, I told my captain that I won’t be around for a whole week. It’s a miracle how God does thing when you just obey what your spiritman tells you to do. My captain anwered: " No problem, you just join us for training when you are back". DONE! Yeah!!! My soul sings… Is just Awesome what God can do for you… When you get favour from God, you’ll get favour from men. haha… I can go without worries…

And there i went…… IMPACT IKUTM 2005
